Just a Question if you can help me plz do.
OK Everyone, I'm an avid GuildWars player and need a question answered. I like everyone else have seen High-End items on other players and have drooled over them asking req and price etc. But I want to know something. If I was to try and get one of these items how should I do it? I'm not begging, but I seriously just want to know, how to get these items besides getting ran through dungeons and hoping to get lucky. For those of you that want to say "High-End items are a waste of time, just get normal gear and mod it up nice." Yes, yes I know but I have well, addiction for nice skins(curse my personality). Anyways if any of you have tips for me, or things that I could do, or just want me to shut up(plz be nice about it ) just leave something here. Hope to hear from you all.

you mean obtain the item through a drop, rather than purchasing with gold/ecto?
it depends on the item, and where it drops. do a search on wiki, and it will tell you the drop locations. i would like to say that the most effective way to get the item will be through a permasin (in most cases)... however, do note that sf may be nerfed very shortly. |

If you wish to farm items, then I would advise you to make a Monk or an Ele, if you desire green items.

Step 1: Find a farm that you're reasonably good at (CoF/DoA/Elona Reach Hydras, etc)
Step 2: ??? Step 3: Use the K's and Ectos you made from step 2 to buy said high end items. That's about it. I doubt the majority of people that are sporting high end items actually had them drop for them. The beauty of capitalism and all. |

You pretty much have three options:
1.) Find out where it drops, and repeatedly run through the area until you eventually get it. How long this will take depends on its rarity. The plus side is that you're almost certain to get it eventually. The downside is that "eventually" could be quite far down the road, and there could be a lot of frustration in the meantime. 2.) Find out where it drops, and repeatedly pay for runs through the area. The plus side is that it will take up less of your own time and effort. The downside is that if the item doesn't drop with at least some measure of regularity, you could be out a lot of gold with nothing to show for it, through no fault of the runner, so it might have been just as worth your money to buy it outright. Which brings us to option three... 3.) Buy it outright. You can find just about anything up for sale, if you're willing to pay for it. For a high end item, you may be paying quite a lot, but if it really matters to you, save and you'll eventually get there. This avoids endless farming of the same areas. You'll know you didn't get the drop yourself, but if having the item is more important than how you got it, at least you'll have it. For people who aren't as concerned about the skin, there's another option: 4.) Create a reasonable facsimile of the item. Wiki generally tells you how. Good luck! |

Just farm for money and use your money to purchase the weapon of your choice. Learn how to do Under World and FoW, or some Elite Missions/dungeons. Check out pvxwiki.com for the latest FoW and UW builds so you can get into PuGs. Also, check out gw.gamewikis.org to browse through all the game's weapons so you know exactly what you want, it even lists where they are dropped.

Armor skins, by the way, are nothing more than showing off money.

Go to the wiki, look up your item, see where it drops, see if you can farm that.
